Just attached this little pet tracker to my neighbor's energetic dog this afternoon while standing out in the front yard chatting before our evening walk. The setup process took just a couple of minutes by pairing it with my phone using the Apple Find My network without needing to download any extra confusing apps. I slipped the silicone holder securely onto the collar strap and we headed out around the neighborhood block to test how well the signal held up. The tracker itself is lightweight and compact enough that it did not weigh down the collar or bother the dog at all while running around chasing a tennis ball.
Checking the location ping on my phone screen showed real-time updates as we moved through the park, which gave a good sense of how reliable the tracking is nearby. One minor thing to keep in mind is that because it relies on nearby bluetooth devices for location updates rather than a cellular subscription, it works best in populated areas rather than deep out in the woods. The battery compartment uses a standard coin cell battery that is simple to pop open and replace whenever the power eventually runs low after a few months. It is also surprisingly versatile since you can easily take it off the dog collar and slip it into a luggage bag or keychain whenever you travel.
Using this gadget provides a nice extra layer of peace of mind during daily outdoor adventures without having to deal with annoying monthly service fees. It feels durable and weather resistant enough to handle a bit of mud or light rain during playtime outside. Really glad we tested it out for a convenient way to keep tabs on things nearby.
Took me two minutes to pair with my phone. Realātime tracking works as long as there are nearby phones. Great antiālost tool, not just for dogs, works for cats too. It works only for populated areas though.
Multiāuse handy little tracker
Was worried it would be bulky for my mediumāsize dog. Itās really light, he doesnāt scratch or try to pull it off. Love that I can also use it for my keys when Iām not using it on the collar.
